My feedback concerns an agent McGrath Parramatta Tariq Jamal. In Nov 2025, my wife and I hired Tariq Jamal to sell our home in Pendle Hill. At first, Tariq presented himself well. However, during the process, his behaviour changed dramatically. Since middle of the marketing program Tariq shifted from promising strong results to pressuring us to lower our expectations price through manipulative. Throughout the process, Tariq’s conduct was focused on securing his bonus at any cost, using deceptive and potentially illegal tactics. On the auction day he suggested a $10,000 discount on his commission service. However, he reneged on this promise the following day and threatened to cancel the sale if we did not pay the full commission. He contradicted earlier statements, applied emotional pressure, and employed tactics that felt unethical and, in some cases, unlawful. Also on auction day, his assistant collapsed, and Tariq left immediately without waiting for the ambulance. We spent the rest of the day with paramedics and the assistant’s family. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism continued even after the auction concluded. Tariq failed to complete his duties and he was unreachable when the buyer needed to arrange a final inspection. This disregard for client needs and contractual responsibilities is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of accountability and profound unprofessionalism. Instead of the honesty and transparency McGrath quality we were promised, we experienced deception, pressure, and indifference. A professional real estate service should be built on trust, reliability and a respectful long-term relationship for all parties involved. Tariq’s approach seemingly focused solely on securing commission. Our advice to others is to avoid his services, record on video all interactions on auction day and beyond, and be prepared to hold him accountable, including legal action if necessary.
