Once upon a time Real Estate Agents like everyone else worked hard for the Customer to sell their properties, this was prior to the invention of the internet. These days the internet sells the properties and the Real Estates merely dot the "i's" and cross the "t's" and earn unreasonable commissions for doing so. Tim has a lovely personality and a very likable person, I have nothing but good things to say about him, but he did not sell me my property, I found it on the internet and Tim just happened to be the Agent, so the internet sold the property. Progress...... both Real Estate Agents and Lawyers (overkill of unnecessary paperwork used as a scare tactic) are very much overcharging their clients for selling their properties. Selling a property merely involves Form 1, Form 24, Bank Discharge (just walk in, they will complete it for you) & a couple of Council searches, something that is able to be done in a less than an hour and are all standard procedures that the forms are pre-filled and all available to the public (again on the internet), also easy to complete.

(wonder if it is "so quick" he does attend to not squeeze the best possible price for me) (I am satisfied my sale price is as good as I can obtain.) sold the property very quickly, but had to drop the price twice. Other than that the transaction was painless. Queensland commission rates are very high compared to Victoria.

Tim found a buyer for our unit at a good price within a week. Living interstate we did not have a chance to meet in person but everything went smoothly by email and an occasional phone call. Documentation was good.
