Tom's quiet manner was a delight when I first met him. There was no hardline salesman one-upmanship. He was always courteous, respectful and prepared to listen to what we needed. The selling of our St Helens house was important but was met by numerous hurdles along a tortuous time and legal path. He was instrumental in making the final sale happen. A sound market knowledge was of great value as he advised how best to proceed with the preparation of the property. This gave us to best opportunity to prepare and maintain the property for sale. His knowledge and patience when dealing with us as house-selling novices allowed us to navigate the best pathway forward and calmed our anxieties when things started to become more complicated. He was always available to talk and his extensive local knowledge allowed us to arrange for someone to help with maintenance jobs to keep the property in beautiful condition. He supported us through to settlement, demonstrating care, professional understanding and market acumen. With communication skills encompassing not only keen listening skills, but also the ability to hear what was being said, really needed and work with it, provided us with an understanding of our obligations and legal requirements without being officious. This team approach enabled us to do the best we could as well.
After months of inspections we met Tom at another property for an inspection. We knew pretty quickly this wasn’t the one for us.
