Tom and his team were very helpful in getting our property ready for market. Tom achieved a quick sale in a tough market, though we had to be very realistic about price to achieve this. We were very disappointed that the Realmax team did not disclose that they had signed on as rental property managers for the new owners prior to completion of the sale of our property. The Remax team were strongly recommending for us to complete expensive non-legally required structural work to the building prior to settlement, fortunately we were not legally required to and did not complete this work. Despite being our agents for the sales process, they were clearly acting on behalf of the new owners. Our property was also advertised for rent without our consent before the sale was completed. As they were engaged as our sales rep/advisor I believe full disclosure of the conflict of interest would have been appropriate. This unfortunately damaged what had been a good sales process.
