Tom looked after the marketing of our Brisbane home alongside Natalie and Kathleen, and his contribution was substantial. Tom's job was to work out what story our property should tell — which qualities to lead with, how to frame them, and who the message should be aimed at. What set his work apart was that the targeting came first. He arrived at a genuinely thoughtful definition of who our buyer was likely to be, and every decision followed from it. He also took the time to understand the home properly before writing a word. What he came back with was a narrative we recognised immediately. It captured what we had loved about living there and the features that made the place distinctive, without any of the tired language that fills most listings. Reading the copy for the first time was slightly strange, because he had articulated things we had felt for years but never quite put into words. The execution across every piece of the go-to-market material was top-notch and thoroughly professional. Copy, imagery and layout hung together and pointed in the same direction, and the standard never slipped. The property was presented in the best possible light while remaining entirely honest about what it was, a harder balance to strike than it sounds. The results spoke for themselves. We had planned a four to five week campaign ending in auction; instead the first weekend produced multiple competing offers, one above our expectations, and the home sold by private treaty in under ten days. That doesn't happen unless the right people are walking through the door already valuing the same things about it that we did. Tom was also a pleasure to deal with — responsive, open to input, and quietly confident without ever being precious about it.
