I have been actively involved in self-managed investment properties for over 30 years including Boarding Houses and represented the Property Owners Association of NSW on a NSW Government Committee on proposed boarding house legislation in the early 2000's. Late last year I made a decision to transition to retirement which included the sale of one of my properties in Ashfield which had been owned by 3 generations of my extended family for over 80 years. I submitted 5 requests for proposals to agents in Ashfield with specific requests for detailed suggestions for marketing the property and the method of sale.
