Running an auction (albeit online) in these crazy times for the property market, was by far the best and most transparent way to handle a sale...for both buyers & the seller. Real estate agents who simply say the property is for sale & make your best offer are just too lazy to run a proper auction. They're doing no one a favour and this non-transparent approach to selling property is contributing to higher prices. I think the seller and the final buyer (me) would be happy with the way the whole process was handled.
