The thing that impressed me most about Valerie’s approach was that she kept me informed on an almost daily basis about what prospective buyers there were, what they said, how she assessed the likelihood or not that they would buy or attend the auction and how we needed to adjust our offering price to attract as many potential buyers as possible while still aiming for our expected price range. Notice that I said “our offering price”; I used the word “our” because I had the feeling that we were doing the sale together. Val acted as an extremely competent friend and guide from the start of the sales process to the celebration at the end. And all this took place against background marketplace noises of doom and gloom about falling sales prices!! I also found the logistical support provided by the DiJones office staff to be efficient and high-quality.
