Before we listed our house with Purple Bricks, we shopped around with other agents around the area. We felt that local agents would know the market and their office would be close by. These particular agents quoted up to $20,000. When we met Wasim from Purple Bricks we made it clear that we did not trust agents. We advised Wasim that we have experienced dishonest agents who are only concerned about the Sold sticker and the commission they get in return. Wasim was different! Wasim's first meeting with us gave us an in-depth look at the local market. He showed us statistics from previous sales around the area and gave us knowledgeable advice from the start. His transparent demeanor was evident and he clearly understood where we were coming from and what we wanted. He asked questions rather than preached to us. Wasim allowed us to make final decisions rather than being coerced with agents' jargon and confusing misleading slogans. We felt that Wasim was on our side. He opened the house 3 times a week in some weeks. Opened the house during the lazy Christmas period and kept us in the loop at all times. He text messaged regularly and assisted at all stages from photography, to design advice, to the bidding war at the end. We dealt with Lawlab, a convenient way to access contracts and legal advice by easily signing and uploading documents without leaving our home. As all vendors, the aim is to get as much money as possible. Wasim was patient, even though we received a reasonable bid early on. He worked the market using his experience and knowledge in our favour. Wasim was a gentleman at all times. I would recommend him as an agent, as I have already to my friends, neighbours and family. Approached Sweeny for one agent and were given Wasim. Negotiated and agreed on details and pricing, Once contract was signed details and pricing were quickly reviewed and amendments requested, in the buyers favour. Pressure to sell was high and continuous. Final agreement to sell was mutually acceptable, but significantly below expectations or initial pricing. Wasim worked hard for the sale and communicated well.
