Our purchase of a unit in Gemini Court, Burleigh Heads was an unusual one. We had little knowledge of the Burleigh Heads property market, other than a bit of online research. During a long weekend away from Brisbane, we called in at Will's office just as he returned from signing up an agency agreement with the owners of the property. After explaining what we were looking for, Will told us about the unit he'd just been appointed to sell. We had a look at it the following day, then a second time two days later. We made an offer on the spot which was accepted after a short negotiation. This was the first property we had actually looked at, but a great buy in a tightly held location. Will's handling of the negotiation was perceptive, as he was able match the owners' need for an extended settlement period with our ability to provide one, so that even though we were the first to view the property, the owners were comfortable selling it to us. Will's after-sales follow up was excellent, and made us feel like we'd made the right decision, even though we hadn't really sampled the market deeply at all!
