Was a little disappointed by the effort

I was disappointed by Jonathan's lack of effort. From the very first inspection, we expressed clear interest in the property. There was no follow-up call on his side. We saw the property 4 times before the auction - expressing clear interest. He never called us. We received texts. When it came to settlement -- Jonathan and the seller agreed to have the lawns mowed, which I understand is a courtesy. When it came to settlement day - he mentioned that only the front lawn was mowed and when I queried this, he said that someone had locked the gates to the back? That would be... him? The backyard was full of huge weeds. On settlement day he agreed to meet me in Indooroopilly to give the keys. He called and said if I needed the keys that day, I'd need to drive to his offices in Fortitude Valley to collect them as he had to 'pick up his child'. When I mentioned that he had agreed to come, he said "his child was sick, what was he meant to do?" He had not mentioned this prior. When I came into the Valley to collect the keys, there is no signage out the front of the office and there isn't a doorbell to ring the office assistant, nor did Jonathan provide her phone number to get in touch with her which was a little stressful as the parking has a strict time limit, and he was also not answering his phone at this point. After getting keys for the property -- rubbish was left inside the property, which again, agents or owners do not 'have' to clean this sort of thing, but it is a courtesy. Finally, a neighbour approached me 1 week after moving in and settling and introduced herself, giving me a full set of house keys including a key fob for the garage. I had already had the locks for the door changed but this really shocked me. I really think it is shortsighted to treat clients this way. It's just assuming you'll never get repeat business from them again, which is a given now.
