He was upfront about where the market was, what he hoped we could achieve, but realistic about potential challenges. This gave me a lot of confidence, as it wasn't just the usual estate agent hype. During the process Mark was in touch with me all the way - we had a call at the end of each open house, all offers communicated but also where he thought they might be willing to go to. In the end we had a price above what we'd hoped / expected, which looked like it might be a problem when the mortgage lender's valuation was way below the market value and Mark was able to connect the buyer to a mortgage broker who quickly secured the mortgage. As first-home buyers, we were excited about the process, but a few things didn’t go as expected. We didn’t receive the main door key at handover, despite multiple follow-ups, and had to use the sliding door to enter and exit the house for a couple of months before finally replacing the lock ourselves. We also hoped for a more special moment with the traditional “SOLD” sticker, but received a “YEWW” one instead, which felt a bit out of place for such a milestone. We appreciate the overall effort but feel these small details could have been handled better to make the experience more memorable.
