I had been wanting to sell my apartment for several months but can't put up with the usual barrage of calls from estate agents, so the first time that I bumped into Joel, he was walking out of the lift and I was walking in of our apartment lifts where we both lived and a quick chat revealed he is an estate agent. So I agreed to exchange numbers and in the following week we met up in my apartment to discuss the selling process. By the time we finished talking, he said he would let me think it over but I said I'm ready to sign the contract. One great thing I like about Joel's agency Inhabit Property is that their commission is not fixed like other agencies, whereas Inhabit's selling fee is based on a range of 1.8% to 2.8% based on the client's satisfaction of the service provided. So at the end of the day, it is the client that sets the selling fee/commission based of the effort and hard work provided by the agents. I asked Joel what if every client only pays the bare minimum commission, he responded that he is happy and grateful for whatever they decide to pay in the range provided.
