On the day before the auction we attended a pre-auction briefing with David and the team at Kelly's agency. We both felt that this meeting gave us a good understanding of how events would unfold and how the auction would be conducted. The fact that David not only ran the campaign, but was the auctioneer was a big advantage. It meant that David had an intimate knowledge of the property which he was in a position to convey during the auction. Compare that to a contract auctioneer with a short briefing prior to auction. We didn't attend the auction (too stressful) but it was a great result. I noticed that when my wife was shaking David's hand she was holding back tears, says it all really.
