We were looking at buying a house with John travelling overseas in Europe whilst Susan was still in Canberra - which complicated matters somewhat. Stephen was extremely helpful prior, during and after the auction. He was very clear and helpful making what could have been a stressful event, something that we enjoyed and will look back upon favourably.

I can’t praise Linda’s professionalism and dedication to the sale of my house enough. Linda always took the time to talk to me to make sure that she knew exactly what I was hoping for from the sale. I am 96 years old and Linda knew I would be worried if there was too much delay, as I had lived in my Yarralumla home for 72 years and wanted my move to my new home to be trouble-free. After analysing current sales and the market, Linda advised us to adopt a minimum price campaign and abandon the initial auction approach. We followed her advice and Linda was absolutely correct. The new approach led to more than 50 people coming through the house and several serious offers were made, including the offer we initially accepted. However, the potential buyer’s bank was delaying exchange of contracts and again Linda gave good advice. She had made a list of those interested in an Yarralumla property and with full disclosure to another interested party that an offer had been accepted and a deposit paid but contract exchange had not occurred, Linda recommended a showing of the house. She was concerned about my position should the first offerer’s bank continue the delay. The viewing occurred and resulted in a matching offer for my house. Linda had been in constant contact with the initial offerer and gave a deadline for their bank to finalise the contract exchange. This deadline passed without result. To ensure I was not kept waiting further, Linda secured a Section 17 agreement from the second offerer, which ensured ‘auction-like’ conditions for the sale and almost immediate contract exchange - she also managed to get an increased price for me too. The exchange was then made within 24 hours. Linda’s completely transparent approach and knowledge of the market was appreciated by all parties, including the disappointed first offerer who sent her a lovely email. I cannot praise Linda too highly!
