This was my first time purchasing property and Simon was my mortgage broker. Simon and team did a fantastic job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase. Simon went above and beyond what I had expected - having Simon as my mortgage broker felt less like I was a customer and more like we were in a trusted partnership working together collaboratively to achieve a good outcome. I had so many questions about the process and what-ifs and Simon and team were happy to explain it all to me, answer all my silly questions, and be patient throughout the whole process. Simon and team were very responsive, emails were responded to within a day, and in critical periods such as in the cooling off period after exchange of contract and leading up to settlement, Simon was available via phone at very short notice, even outside of typical working hours. Simon's advice was excellent and well beyond what I expected to receive from a mortgage broker - Simon was happy to discuss all parts of the homebuying process, even outside of the financials. For example, when the real estate agent had put pressure on me to sign a Section 66W after I had already made an offer, Simon was able to advise that real estate agents typically go 'fishing' for a Section 66W in every sale, even if the vendor has not requested it. Simon was able to advise what the Section 66W means from a buyers perspective, and how I could assess whether I should include it as part of my offer. Advice like this was invaluable and is the type of advice I would have expected from my solicitor or a buyers agent. Overall, Simon and his team are extremely knowledgable in all parts of the property purchasing process - although the formal service they offer is mortgage broking, working with them means you have a trusted partner that will guide you through every aspect of the process. 10/10, could not rate highly enough.
