Approached Jay when we needed to sell a unit in Clarke Street, Bunbury. Found Jay to be helpful, friendly and always kept us informed. Jay's knowledge of the Real estate industry and in particular, the South West gave us confidence in the whole selling process. We have used Jay previously and would use and recommend him to anyone in the market to buy or sell Real Estate.

It is not easy selling a property in this challenging market but Jay’s understanding, dedication and extensive experience and knowledge set him apart. He is a consummate professional and his honesty, reliability and judgement including market assessment could always be relied upon. His passion for Real Estate and helpfulness in selling and buying property is remarkable. This was also reflected in his team at Barr & Standley, who are efficient and a pleasure to deal with. We can highly recommend Jay Standley to anyone buying or selling a house.

Seems to know his business. Settlement will happen soon. Pity his vendor wasn't as on the mark. One person I would definitely recommend is Jack Wilson, who works with Jake. Thanks, Jack, good luck to you both in future dealings. Cheers Bill

Lee’s talked me down to a price well below what I wanted, as offers over a certain price would get people talking to him and he would talk them up to a price closer to what I required with his industry expertise. As his fees are well above the industry standard, I asked him if we could negotiate his fee depending on the price he obtained, his reply was to wait and see when we got an offer. When the offer came back and was only $1000 over the base price, he said that was the best deal he could negotiate and the buyer would look at another property and withdraw his offer if I didn’t take it. He also said that there wasn’t much chance of another offer, so I felt pressured to take it. I accepted the offer, but when I asked to negotiate his fee, as he had only had 3 home opens which worked out to be $6500 per open he flatly refused to negotiate, even though he had indicated we could negotiate when an offer came in. I will never use Barr and Standley again and will never use Lees again as his business ethics in my opinion are more suited to being a used car salesmen.

Having looked for our forever home, in the UK as well as Australia, for over 3 years, we have encountered many estate agents, of varying degrees of competence. Add to the fact that we were doing so while living in Japan and the complexity increases. It can be a tightrope acting for a seller and being respectful to a buyer. Shane walked this tightrope confidently, effectively and with great professionalism. It's been a pleasure working with him on the purchase of our property. He was highly responsive to our myriad of questions and left none unanswered. He's rather good at what he does!

Jay is very experienced in his profession, he has a great knowledge of the realestate market of Bunbury and surrounds. He was very patient with me, considering the family situation I was in regarding the property. He is very polite and kept me updated with home opens etc etc and continually updated me through the sale process.
