I got a good result and so overall was happy. Edward was pleasant to deal with as were the others from B&G. A few learners from my experience: 1) agents can quote a high expected sale price to win your biz and then spend the next few months talking that price down. Let them know you won't sell below that price no matter what. 2) use a furnishing stylist as it makes a huge difference but don't feel you have to go with the one your agent recommends. There are better deals out there 3) spend money painting and fixing the garden 4) spend money on advertising but no need to go over the top 5) negotiate the commission. I don't see why it shouldn't be a flat fee rather than a percentage but given that's the case for most agents, negotiate!

With market surveys (eg Nielson, Residex etc) consistently showing the majority of property purchasing decisions are made by women, female agents definitely have the edge over their male counterparts. They recognise what women want in a property and are usually far better at building effective business relationships. And great, highly experienced female agents such as Julie Taylor have even more of an edge. Julie delivered on all of her promises and exceeded our expectations - and ultimately achieved great a great result for us. She's extremely ethical and professional and is one of the most hardworking agents I've come across - her passion for her job comes across in everything she does.

I've never sold a property before. I was quite nervous about the whole process of selling my apartment. Having sold two weeks ago, I can't believe how easy it was. I sincerely believe this was because Edward and his team were my managing agents. From the very start when Edward visited me in my home (some 40km from his office) to discuss the figures and timeline, I knew I was in good hands. There was never any pressure or conflict. There were no secrets or hidden information. Edward and his team called me after EVERY open for inspection to advise how things were travelling.
