When my previous tenant of 6 years moved out just before Christmas I thought I was going to be left covering the rent over the holiday break, but Jesseigh Stella from Jas Stephens kicked off open inspections in the blink of an eye and managed to secure new tenants so fast that the apartment was empty for barely a week. I have a 2 bedroom house and asked property manager Cassie Favero to find renters. Within 2 days she found 4 applications and recommended me 2 good renters. The third day the renter paid the rent in advance. I don't know how she did but I strongly believe that she must has professional knowledge and has excellent way to find renter so quickly.

As a landlord seeking new tenants for my property through Jas.H.Stephens, I found the entire experience to be quite stressful and disheartening. Currently, I am in the process of taking my previous tenants to VCAT, as I believe they are not entitled to a bond refund. I feel that the agent often cites historical decisions that prevent me from claiming without truly considering the unique aspects of my situation. While I am willing to cover necessary and mandatory repairs, I do not believe it is my responsibility to address damages caused by tenants. I have sent multiple emails requesting specific repairs and have had to constantly follow up on the status, only to receive vague response about delays due to the Christmas period. This lack of communication in unsatisfactory. Additionally, finding new tenants took much longer than I anticipated-longer than during the COVID period. The onsite agent even suggested I reduce the rent significantly due to time pressures and the impending office closure over the holidays, resulting in no viewings for three weeks. I reduced the rent considerably. Overall, I notice a stark contrast when working with a senior agent who addresses my concerns directly compared to other agents who fail to follow up or fully engage with my requests. This has been both exhausting and frustrating, as it feels like the agent is more aligned with the tenants' needs rather than repenting my interests as the landlord. Ultimately, my experience has not been favorable, and I hope future outcomes improve.
