The COVID pandemic has thrown up new and challenging situations for both landlords and tenants. I was caught in the crossfire as a landlord with a tenant who would not vacate and would not pay rent having lost his job due to the pandemic. To add further complication, his partner (also on the lease) wanted to exit the lease on grounds of domestic abuse. The way that the PPDRE team worked with me, the tenant and his partner was exemplary. It was a very tricky situation that required careful negotiation and management and the PPDRE were brilliant in the way they conducted themselves and achieved the best possible outcomes for all concerned.
