Rang Tim as interested in obtaining estimate of house value as thinking of downsizing. He gave me an estimate that met my expectations so asked him to market the house. We arranged a date to begin the marketing campaign. I paid for the anticipated costs of marketing materials and internet advertising.Tim arranged for a photographer to take photos of the house. One afternoon before the campaign started Tim rang and asked if he could see me the next morning. He came and informed me that an interested party had heard that the house was for sale and would like to view it that afternoon. He made it very clear that I was not obliged to allow the viewing and that if I permitted the viewing the prospective purchaser could do one of 3 things, be uninterested in the house, make an unacceptable offer or make an offer that met expectations. He stressed that I could refuse any offer and continue with the marketing campaign if I desired with the possibility of receiving offers that could be either higher or lower than the offer made. The offer met expectations and I accepted it. Today I received a refund of most of the advertising costs paid. Thank you Tim and Allanah.
