Remax Extreme are generally respectful of my role as a tenant. Sometimes I feel that I am judged when things on inspection are not 'quite right', forgetting that I pay the rent, which is my primary role, and that the home is 'liveable', tidy enough. There is an issue with a door to the garage which I have repeatedly reported, but nothing seems to be done about that. The door, which was replaced several years ago, (3 years ago?) is falling apart, it is an indoor door, and it is outdoors and is now falling apart from water damage. I feel that when push comes to shove, it may somehow be seen as my fault that the door is in the state it is in, where it is because the door was the wrong door ro begin with. I spoke with the installer at the time, he assured me that the door would be able to withstand the winter rains, that somehow, he had waved his magic wand over it to make it water proof. In the week that I have been advised of a rent increase with my lease renewal, I feel probsbly less inclined to submit a glowing report. I am a long term tenant, 8 years at this address and have ensured that all money due, is paid promptly. To find that the rent increase is more than double the CPI if find to be excessive, but as a tenant feel powerless to object. Edit: In discussion with the agent I have been assured that the door will be repaired at the contractor's expense. It appears my door was not the only problem, the contractor has fixed more doors. I thank the agent for her communication on this matter. I will also request that the door be painted with marine paint and sealed to make it waterproof when the contractor contacts me to arrange a time to do the repair.

11 years ago Demo / Remax sold our last home we had built and never let us down. This house we had built was a unique home with little to compare with in the surrounding area, and we were never happy with the agents we interviewed for various reasons, however while reviewing houses in the area we were seeking to build Demo’s name came on a house he was selling. Up to this point we had not considered Demo as our agent as we thought this would have been outside his area. We immediately contacted Demo and our happy relationship continued. Every concern we had was resolved, Demo and his staff have acted very professional and maintained constant communication during the selling of our home. I do not normally make recommendations as they are just doing the job, however in this instance I would recommend Demo/Remax Extreme if are considering selling your home or investment property.
