Nigel was always very clear from the outset as to what he considered the market price, and what he considered would be above expected market price. So there were no misunderstandings or misconceptions about what price I should be hoping for from the sale, and therefore no disappointment in the end. He was also willing to take the time to answer all the questions I had regarding his methods of marketing the property, so his communication skills were also much appreciated. The result of his marketing campaign is that the property was under contract after the first viewing - I was after a quick sale without compromising the price, and that is what I got! He also was very proactive when there were difficulties during the cooling off period, and managed to get a difficult buyer over the line in the end. This is a critical skill for an agent to have that I think nobody thinks about much beforehand - the communications that go on with holding the hand of the buyer AFTER they have entered the cooling off period but BEFORE they have committed to the final sale. Don't underestimate this! Nigel was excellent at it, which turned out to be critical in our case. I consider that with Nigel and Starr Partners, you are paying a slight premium to achieve a solid result that you can't be so confident about with other agents.
