I have leased my property through Barker Real Estate for almost 6 years, during which time I have had 2 tenants. Finding a new tenant is tricky, and new tenants moving in is also sometimes a negotiating act, but Barker Real Estate managed the tricky periods with ease. Built in 1991, my property has needed considerable maintenance in the lead-up to the first tenant, and between tenants, and Barker Real Estate has managed a range of painters, electricians, air conditioning companies, gardeners, roofers, plumbers, pest inspectors and general maintenance providers to ensure minimum disruption to tenants, and no postponement of the new leases. Gus Barker even picked up whitegoods and stained the floor in the dining room! I rate Barker Real Estate very highly, and recommend the company to any landlord who wants their property management company to know their property, not just reference it on a rent roll.

Massive shout out to Corinna and the Barker Real Estate team. After dealing with another agency for 12 months I was losing confidence in holding onto my investment and thought about giving up property investing, selling up and moving on. I reached out to Barker Real Estate a couple months before my contract would expire with the other agency and explained the situation. Corinna jumped into action and was very helpful during the transition. It’s only been 2 months and I can say she has done an amazing job managing the property so far. Compliance items and basic maintenance are being attended to and the professionalism and communication from Corinna is outstanding, if there is a concern I receive a phone call, email or text and whenever I reach out to Barker Real Estate, I actually receive a reply which is more than I can say for other agencies in Adelaide! Ownership Statements come on time, every 2 weeks, and I am no longer getting overdue letters for water and council rates.
