1) Asked us to sign contract before day end as it was month end and it would mean he would get $800 more on commission which made me feel he wouldn't bother the next day to negotiate our offer. 2) Refused to have a safety cert done on the house when requested despite us being willing to pay for it ourselves and then when we moved in we found that the smoke alarm was meant to be replaced 4 years ago! What could have happened if we had not checked ourselves? 3) Stressed that the AO is legally binding but doesn't uphold sellers to it. The house was filthy when we moved in, surfaces had not even been wiped down and there so many holes in the walls where seller just ripped out fittings that we were forced to repaint incurring extra costs - we were told that there was nothing they could do. surely a property should be inspected to be in line with contract terms before handing over keys to buyer! I also just received mail from a third party to whom I obviously did not provide my details, I cant rem where I gave permission for my details to be handed to third parties!! Good points: - The care package from Taffys was a nice treat on our first night in our home - Racheal is a great hardworking PA who is a pleasure to deal with. She was always friendly and willing to help.
