I interviewed several agents before I met Derek. Right from the outset I found Derek to be highly knowledgable about the local area (East Victoria Park), genuine and honest and a nice guy to boot (despite his love of the Dockers). He offered some great suggestions for how the house should be presented for photos and home opens, which we took on board and he was proactive in meeting our (fairly tight) deadlines for getting the house to market. He and the office staff at Baston and Co. accomodated my unique position of being overseas for much of the on-market period by communicating with me via alternate means (Whatsapp etc.) which was greatly appreciated. I also found the agents fees to be very reasonable. Overall, I was very happy with my decision to use Derek and his team and will recommend them to anyone needing to sell a house in the area.

Derek and his team (Rickie and Joni) did an amazing job helping us purchase our new home and within only a few weeks, sell our old home. I had to sell my deceased mum's house recently and after getting a few appraisals, settled on Derek and his team at Baston and Co. What swayed me was his track record and also people I know who recommended him enthusiastically. Derek took the time to get to know me and the history of the family home and we settled on a strategy. Derek, Lee and the staff in the office all work together wonderfully as a team so at any point I could contact someone to keep things moving. Despite the challenging market at the time, we achieved a timely sale and a price we are very happy with. I can't recommend Derek and the team highly enough - they are thoroughly professional but also provide very personalised service which made them a pleasure to deal with.
