Tanya started her career as an Insurance Broker, eventually moving into claims, becoming a Member of the Australian Insurance Institute and a JP specialising in claim settlements. This provided her with a deep understanding of insurance, particularly in terms of strata issues and property owners’ responsibilities. She also studied law for five years which taught her to interpret what can often be complex legal situations, to isolate issues and resolve them quickly and efficiently. Tanya loves the unpredictability of the job and the fact that you never know what’s going to happen from one day to the next. There is no time to get bored and she takes pride in recognising what’s most important to people and prioritising workflow.
