It is with pleasure that I write this reference for David Benjafield, of Belle Property, Neutral Bay. We had decided to put our North Sydney Investment property on the market, in October this year with the intention of going to Auction just before Christmas, realising we were in a falling Market period. The property went to auction in early December with the market still falling, however, David was always very optimistic as to getting a good result, judging by the comments received by various interested parties. With his professional manner, & personal touch, we were able to achieve $58K above our reserve in a very tough market. Lacks empathy and comes across as ingenuine, expressing little effort to negotiate on the side of buyer. Maybe it makes sense to take the side of the seller to increase commission % for the sales rep but felt left in the unknown. He had a 'take it or leave it' approach, making me feel time pressured and under stress with very little exposure of the owners and other interested buyers (who all happened to be overseas). On the other hand, he did help me purchase pre-auction and i'm glad to have bought the place than not at the end of the day. The most helpful person in the entire process was Marilyn David who was so lovely at all times! Hope this helps.
