Straightforward, Strategic and Strenuous
I recently sold a deceased estate through Geoff's agency. Out of all the agents I interviewed, he immediately gave me the most honest and realistic market appraisal, rather than fueling the fantastical figures I had in mind. He and Grant also immediately understood the emotional challenge of letting go of a deceased estate, as well as the practical aspects of cleaning up. He advised a honest to buyer approach of not dressing up an old house in new Italian marble, which saved me much time, money and sweat. During the campaign, buyer interest tumbled after a week, and he advised I revisit the price guide to a lower figure. Rather than have me make the decision immediately, he advised I watch an auction of a similar property, where this strategy was utilised, and I was comforted that a price guide was well exceeded. I agreed to the lower price guide, and in the following weeks, he an Grant then strenuously fielded endless calls from underbidders. The result was over 100 in attendence at auction day with over 10 bidders. In the end, I could not have received a better price from the market, and it actually came within the estimate range that Geoff gave in our very first meeting!
