Initially we thought the property manager, Helen, was helpful and professional but our treatment in the past 2 months by Helen has been like the mafia. She has refused to take my calls been extremely nasty and lied about the health hazard condition of the apartment. My Mothers health has deteriorated rapidly due to bacteria coming from old cat urine and old water damage in the carpet, underlay and concrete floor. This has all been confirmed by mould and carpet specialists with the reports sent to the property manager. My Mother has been on antibiotics for almost 2 months for endless lung infections and unfortunately they are now not clearing the infection. She is very weak and can now hardly walk. We have been told by Helen the landlord will not replace the carpet and sanitise the concrete floor. And we should leave and forfeit our bond. We are not in breach of the tenancy agreement the landlord is for not providing a reasonably clean and fit environment.
