We bought our house in Ballarat some 10 years ago. Our daughter lived in it while at Fed Uni and then we rented it. With Government changes to rental laws, regional value boom and Covid a “perfect storm” to sell. We had briefly tried to sell it a couple of years ago but we felt let down by the agent’s false expectations. This time we offered the property to 5 agents in Ballarat. We interviewed each of them and sought their evaluation and advice on presentation. There was a fair amount of consistency with price and advice st it came down to confidence and trust. Peter Burley came over as personable, experienced honest and keen to put in his best effort. We had dealt with Buxton before, and found the company reliable. He offered us a 20 minute Zoom meeting to make a pitch. We spoke for over an hour and we felt we got to know him. This was the deal changer. We discussed stylists, garden prep and how much we should spend on the house to prepare it. Throughout the sales process Pete held our hand and gave us the best advice as any issues arose. We met him just once in person. We live in Melbourne 150 Km away. He managed every aspect of the sale brilliantly and the outcome was well above our expectations.
