David kept us informed of the prices received for similar houses in the area. When I first approached him about selling our unit he suggested I wait until the tenants contract ended. Unfortunately the tenants were not happy with my decision to sell but an agreement was made to let the tenants stay until the unit was sold or were given notice. David met us and the wife of the tenants at the unit one morning and explained the requirements that the tenants could stay. They agreed. David also suggested we have an up to date inspection of the electrical requirements. However there were problems with the tenants not agreeing to allow mid week inspections by potential buyers so in December they were given notice to vacate. After the 2 months were nearly up David phoned to check if we had heard any further from the estate agent handling the rentals as to when the tenants would vacate the unit. He had the contact details for one of the people who wanted to inspect the unit previously when the tenants would not allow mid week inspections so once the date was finalised for the tenants to leave he contacted them and they made an offer below what we wanted . However David suggested they offer the price we required which they agreed to. David came to our home with the offer, told us the requirements and we signed as we were very happy. A couple of settlement agents were suggested and the one we chose should contact them immediately - thanks to COVId that was an excellent suggestion. We were extremely happy with the understanding way David explained to the tenants the requirements of continuing to rent the unit, how we could terminate the lease and how after each weekend opening he contacted us to tell us how the viewing went. As David had kept the contact details of one of the interested buyers, refused entry by the tenants, David contacted him and he decided to purchase the property so the sale was finalised with no need to readvertise . Extremely happy
