The worst Real estate Agent in Wolli Creek
I wanted to share our personal experience as buyers with Tony Day, director of D&H Real Estate. This reflects our experience, and the purchase was via auction in Nov 24.
First Impressions
Before the open inspection, Tony appeared helpful, promptly answering emails and liaising efficiently with the vendor’s solicitor. However, at the inspection, his demeanor shifted. When we attempted to take a short video for reference, he abruptly stopped us and insisted on its deletion, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. His attitude was unwelcoming overall.
Auction Day Disappointment
On auction day, Tony’s lack of professionalism was evident. He arrived poorly dressed and without support staff. Shockingly, he brought three pens, all of which ran out of ink, and we had to lend him one just to register. After winning the auction, we requested to put the SOLD sticker on the board, but Tony admitted he forgot to bring it. This lack of preparation was disappointing.
Unprofessional Conduct
Before and after the auction, Tony asked if we planned to sell our property. We responded that we might need his help and when he came visiting our property we have emphasized that we were exploring other agencies, Tony appeared to assume a commitment. On visiting our property, he arrived unprepared and mocked our Vietnamese heritage, making hurtful cultural stereotypes. When informed we chose another agent, Tony became hostile, calling us “liars” and “dishonest”
Privacy Breach
Following legal advice, we requested the auctioned property’s sale price be marked as “undisclosed” online. Instead, Tony demanded nearly $10,000 for compliance. For our pre-settlement inspection, he ignored emails and later addressed a social media post we made about him, threatening to sue us and making demeaning remarks.

Tony’s abusive behavior, lack of professionalism, and disrespect caused significant stress. While others’ experiences may differ, we hope this helps inform future decisions when choosing an agent.
