Sustained support during a long property "refreshment" followed by prompt re-rental by good tenants
After nearly 20 years of rental of this property by a series of agents that ended up operating under the Chadwick name, the person who has been managing this property for many years, Darylann Warth, recommended taking the opportunity created by the departure of a long term tenant to "refresh" the property. That involved painting inside and out, recarpeting, minor repair, upgrading and replacement of lighting, restoring collapsed paving around the pool, resurfacing a long driveway, pruning and/or removal of trees that had got too big and general tidying up of the garden and yard. Given that this was at a time when the building industry was very busy and and tradesmen and services in short supply the refreshment took much longer than expected but Darylann was very helpful in finding people who could to these jobs to the required standard and took much of the responsbility for getting the work done. When, after more than six months the refreshment was largely complete, Chadwicks quickly found a new tenant, with whom they already had a good relationship because of their rental of another property on their books. It is still early days but it does show promise of development into a good long term tenancy.
