In July I selected Sarah Chance of Discover Stradbroke as the agent for selling my high-end house at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island. We renovated and put the house on the market formally in October; we had two competitive offers and settled the contract in late November. Sarah was very open to a non-standard campaign including an owner-generated website. She conducted a comprehensive review of likely buyers and handled very well the iconic nature of the house design that would not appeal to some. She was very communicative and appreciative of my desires. She is intelligent and very sensitive to feelings and personalities. I would have liked the estate agency to provide her with more support; she was very much on her own. The undervaluation by a factor of two on Domain was a major concern to me that required my intervention to get it removed. Mis-valuation is a major problem on coastal islands, and the agency needs to be more proactive. Finally, I always felt that Sarah had my best interests at heart and came to view her and family as friends. I recommend her highly to any future employer or client, and hope this short piece can give some idea of her attributes.
