One week ago I received a phone call from Kelly, letting me know Downton Property had 'accidentally/inadvertently' paid me extra rent. Apparently these funds were debited from a previous tenant of mine - not the current tenant. The fortnightly rental statements I received for the period in question, indicated I was receiving 'advanced' rent . My tenant was paying extra rent to get ahead of her rent. Dates etc were provided. I received the rent in good faith, I accepted the explanation (dates paid to) . It is fair and reasonable for me to trust Downton Property as I pay them to manage my property. This is a horrible experience and I am contacting the RE ombudsman today and considering legal advice.

I just moved in to the Tasmania and downtown property is one of the best i have come across. They are very responsive with the emails and over the phone. Kate and Isabella are very responsive and quick in answering the query.

The property needed certain important things to repair after I move in. Staff is bit rude on the phone.
