Michelle impressed me at the initial meeting with her description of her selling techniques which included personally escorting visitors to the garage (separate from the townhouse) as well as the pool and tennis court. She also offered me a list of trades that her company used, as we needed to renovate before selling. Signing her up before the renovation reduced a lot of stress. Michelle followed through with her offer to help – giving feedback on my choices of colours and materials, and vetoing ideas which didn’t add value to the selling price. She even helped to gather quotes; which certainly kept my renovation project moving. Michelle’s warmth and helpfulness during the renovation quickly made her feel like a friend. She made time for when I needed advice, and was passionate about her convictions – like the usefulness of styling a property for sale. We couldn’t justify the cost of styling in our renovation budget, which she accepted gracefully, but her personality made it possible for me to have some fun later in anticipating and seeing the delight on her face when I eventually told her that we found the budget to style, and her reaction when she saw the finished product. During the marketing period, Michelle called me after each Open House to advise the state of play. She was easy-to-understand and patient with providing insight into the selling process and her selling techniques. Our townhouse is nothing special other than having a brilliant renovation (ahem) and styling yet it was on the market for less than three weeks; and Michelle achieved a sale price beyond our expectation, and hers – the record highest price in the set of three townhouse complexes to date. I believe that I witnessed a moment of Michelle’s brilliant instinct on market conditions and timeliness that produced ecstatic sellers and very excited buyers – which cannot be explained here for fear of exposing her realtor secrets and losing a friend. Thank you Michelle.
