We selected Rorie Auld as our agent because his overall approach and strategy for selling the property just 'made sense'; it wasn't the easiest approach from the agent's perspective, but we could see that it was most likely to achieve the best result for us. That was refreshing, because here was an agent who really did seem geared to achieving the best result for us. Rorie has a relaxed approach; there was none of the 'hard sell', but more just a pleasant person who was easy to work with, and at the same time, polite, professional and accommodating. We loved the strategy, the photos were great, the brochure exceeded our expectations - it really was presented beautifully. The online presence was commanding, and the open homes were well organised. Communication was another strong point - Rorie kept us well informed of any interested parties and was well supported by Matthew Chugg, who performed one of the open homes and was also subsequently the auctioneer. On the day of the auction, other staff from Knight Frank were also in attendance and gave good support and added to the overall professionalism of the proceedings. We got a great result on the day, with Rorie having worked hard to build an understanding of the interested parties and having acted between us in terms of any exceptions to the contract being sought. He recognised the need to keep as many of these parties ' in the picture' as possible and to accommodate them where reasonable in order to generate the best result. We recommend Rorie 100% as an agent who was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and diligent, and we wouldn't hesitate to engage his services again in the future.
