Toby was truly exceptional. The story goes like this... I often get knocks on my door as w WFH person, and one day agent X came knocking and after a brief chat, he introduced him as when he was a young boy, he use to come to our house to play with our son, so I told him that when I’m ready to sell I’ll call him and never heard from him again. Then came Toby, at first sight he looked very shy but extremely courteous and well presented, I could tell he was very nervous and very new to the real estate world. After a few weeks I started receiving emails from Toby letting me know what went for sale in our area. Every time he came by our house, he very politely knocked on our door to say hello, I never felt pressured into selling or appointing Toby as my agent. One day he called and invited us to an Auction nearby, we went and I’m so thankful we did. At that very moment I decided to call Toby for a market appraisal. Toby turned up a week later with his father and mentor Gavin and the rest is history. Toby was always available on the phone and within a week sent us a calendar schedule of the open houses and the Auction date. The open houses (although daunting, especially when you must leave your home to complete strangers) was a very easy process with Toby who always turned up on time and well ahead of the potential buyers. After 20 days on the market Toby proudly told us that our house was sold at a record price for a 3 br 1 bathroom in our area. I believe this experience has unleashed a beast in Toby and I am certain that Toby will deliver more sales records in the very near future. So, when a young shy looking guy comes knocking on your door and introduces himself as Toby Harlow, I can guarantee you if you give him a go, you will not be disappointed.

As first-time sellers, my wife and I were initially intimidated by the process. The moment Gavin sat down in our lounge room and started talking to us, he made me feel, yeah!! I think I can trust that bloke. He asked us what we wanted for our house, when I told him what I expected and he said “I’ll do my best and I think you are being realistic, otherwise I would be out the door now”. His exact words…. I can confidently say, if Dentists were half as courteous, as professional, as honest and responsive as Gavin– I’d make dental appointments every week. On Day 3 of the open home (20 days after the house went on the market, Gavin the magician told us he had our buyer at a figure well above that we expected. I asked Gavin to sign up a buyer at much lower price but Gavin basically wanted the buyer to pay our commission so after we signed the deal, it was more than what I would have had to pay in commission to Gavin. (Basically Gavin sold our home and we didn't pay any commission.) Gavin, went beyond his duties as an agent to even bring me a bottle of wine for my birthday and fresh eggs from his property.
