3.5 years ago, just before covid hit, we bought our first little townhouse, as close to the city as we could afford, on our own, and we lucked out. Less than 2 years later, in covid world and spending 20 hours a day sleeping and wfh in the same room, we needed more space that didn't need to be as close to work.
