It is important to be comfortable with one's agent, and Rob Westwood struck up a great rapport from the start. He also has many years in the business and knows the Werribee area well. His knowledge of underlying property values and trends serves him well in guiding expectations of the vendor (and presumably potential buyers). His skills as an auctioneer on the day were impressive in extracting the best offer. First National as a whole managed the process leading up to auction in a highly organised way. keeping the vendor informed at every step. His communication skills & presentation are the best I have seen, he is a true operator. He kept contact over years, let us know how the markets going and also how we were going, so when it was time to sell, he was our first and only choice. I am very pleased by the way Andrew Cruickshank from First National Westwood handled the property negotiations with the Vendor, he was quick in communicating with both the parties and managed to close the property sale quite quickly with his experience in the property market and negotiation skills by keeping in view that both the parties were happy with the outcome. However, I was little unhappy with the way the property handover was given of by others at the agency. It was done in a rushed manner, I did not even get the complete house keys, half of the keys given were not even working for any locks at the property, the pool was supposed to be clean before the handover, but it was not taken care of during handover and I ended up paying for all these things from my own pocket. At least when the property is handed over to the client the agent should inform and handover complete information as to what is given and what is missing, so that the client don't have to discover all these things post settlement.
