Selling a property is a stressful process that few of us do very often, and one of the biggest decisions early on in the process is deciding on an agent to entrust with getting a good result for a major investment. I did some research on agents and Tom's name kept coming up as highly recommended, with good reason. Tom has all the attributes that other people have commented on - very professional, knows the market, takes the time to explain things, suggests things without being overly directive. His communication is fantastic - very regular and proactive feedback about what's happening and where things are up to. He's very personable: nothing grates. Ticked all the boxes for me. The quality in an agent that I hadn't considered before, but stood out for me, was Tom's ability to read and respond to the psychological aspect of selling (and buying) a property. He understands, and demonstrates by his actions, that selling or buying a property is not only a major financial investment, it is also a major emotional investment.
