I have worked with Marty since 2000 when he cleverly matched me to a small house on a beautiful bush block. I had 16 very happy years there. What I thought was extraordinary about this was that he was able to persuade me to look at something that was nothing like what I thought I wanted. He had listened carefully to my needs and wants. Marty is a great listener and assesses his clients' needs carefully. A year later, he did the same for my sister in Wye River and found a place that suited them perfectly. Marty knows the area backwards as he was born and bred in Aireys. He is passionate about it and shares his enthusiasm with his clients. This comes across as being genuine, but quite persuasive. Marty is a keen but realistic negotiator as he knows the local market so well and he works within people's budgets. At the same time, he aims high. He is tenacious, without being too pushy, but he puts the pressure on for a decision if needed. Selling my property at 80 Bambra Road was a difficult one for me, but Marty eased me into it gently. I asked that he only show it to someone who was a genuine buyer at the price at which I felt happy to sell. And this he did. However, he had a small trump card up his sleeve, which pulled the deal over the line ... he rang on the morning of the inspection and asked if I could drop my price a little. I agreed, sensing that he had a genuine buyer. It worked and the property was sold within half an hour! (well, the purchasers decided within half an hour). For me this was painless, as there'd only been one inspection. Marty had succeeded in making both parties very happy. I would always recommend him to others wanting to buy or sell in our special part of the coast.
