We had met Gary to query sales in the Apollo Bay area to discuss initial thoughts we had on selling our existing property and buying a more suitable one in the same area. We had looked at numerous properties in the area over an 18 month period. Gary and his team were always welcoming and patient with us as we attended inspections, knowing the right property would become available. Once the right property did become available, we inspected numerous times before deciding to make an offer. Gary kept us across negotiations with the vendor and a price was agreed. He assisted with many things along the way as part of the sales process, often going beyond his role of an agent, and engaged with the vendor on any queries we had. We had been considering upgrading from our existing property and buying in the same area but we had concerns about buying before selling. We had noted many properties in the area, listed with other agents, were on the market for lengthy periods of time however properties listed by Great Ocean Road Properties seemed to be selling quite quickly. We had initially approached Gary and the Great Ocean Properties team to obtain some information about the current state of the market and why they seemed to be getting strong sale results, compared to other agents. Gary provided feedback on the state of the market in Apollo Bay and where our property was positioned against others in the area, and provided us with realistic price expectations. He explained there was a scarcity in our price range and confidently assured us our property would sell. This allowed us to proceed with inspecting prospective properties with some confidence that our property would sell should the right property became available. Once we were ready to sell, our property was quickly listed, photos arranged and posted on the various real estate websites within days and initial enquiries commenced shortly thereafter. GOP is a small office, which meant we felt everyone in their team was involved in the sale and assisted throughout the whole process. Gary and the team made themselves available for all inspections, and worked over the weekends when prospective buyers were in town to maximise exposure to potential purchasers. He kept us informed of upcoming inspections and provided prompt feedback. Negotiations with the purchaser were seamless and the quick sale result speaks for itself. We would highly recommend.
