I was reluctant to air these comments but have continously received requests from Rate My Agent and Harcourts - so here is our experience. We selected Alison to be our agent on three factors. 1. Nice professional approach 2. Cost of marketing was slightly less than her major competitor 3. Harcourts is a large reputable group We were happy with the photography and the online descriptions of our property and were quite buoyant approaching our first home open. However, we didn’t see Alison at our home open or after this. She was too busy selling million plus dollar properties on the canals. Her Assistant conducted our Home Opens. We next heard from Alison when an Offer had been made and she negotiated the Offer to a satisfactory conclusion. However, after this it was as if Alison was now the Agent for the Buyer. One particular event was quite annoying. This related to the process after the Buyer requested a Building Inspection. Instead of facilitating an agreement with the Buyer we had to undergo a farcical and costly process using only the people recommended by Alison. Work was done in our roof space, but not by a qualified Builder as specified in the contract; and never certified as to quality or completeness. A farcical process by a cartel to satisfy the Buyer. Not happy.
