We ultimately decided to go with James and Hudson McHugh because we felt their sincerity and honesty from the beginning. We knew that they had our best interest in mind and that they wouldn't cut corners. It was a little but of a tough sale for our home, but in the end we got there. James kept in communication with us the entire time and was willing to discuss new strategies to improve the visibility of our home. The only thing was that unlike other sneaky real estate agents, James seemed to not want to overly underquote our home, which I think in the end limited number of initial interested parties and visibility. It was a hard call, as I usually find underquoting of homes very annoying, but I guess it does bring in interest. Overall really good experience, really sincere agent.

As a buyer it might seem strange to recommend an agent but David Eastway helped us through a somewhat bruising process of buying a house through him. Initially the negotiations process was great but after I signed the sales contract things went down hill. AFTER I had completed the pre settlement inspection, the vendor did dodgy work at the property causing damage which changed the condition of the property. Paint was splatter all around the door, floorboard, carpet and more. The agents were aware and did not disclose any changes to the property. As the buyer, I was unaware of any work being done until after settlement when I saw the state of the property. Extremely dishonest conduct by agents Phil and Andy. The wrong keys were given to me settlement day by the agent resulting in me having to call a locksmith. Not all access keys/remotes were provided by the agent despite me emailing them 4 days before settlement to confirm all relevant keys will be exchanged. This has left me even more out of pocket getting new keys so I can access my parking space and letter box. I have made every effort to discuss the issues with agent Phil but my emails go unanswered. I will be making a complaint with Fair Trading for their conduct. Beware of Hudson McHugh’s agents.
