We recently engaged McNamee & Partners to sell our home in Jerrabomberra as we were relocating back to Brisbane on retirement. We specifically dealt with Lou Baldan and Darren Bennett for the sale, but met many of the other McNamee staff during the sale, and could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and knowledge displayed by all. Darren was persuasive is helping us reach a decision to sell through an auction process which proved to be a very successful campaign. After a VIP showing and four open houses, the auction under Darren's guidance, saw our home sell at a price higher than our initial expectations. We would gladly recommend Darren’s services. Our experience with Darren and his team during the process of selling a residential property was trouble-free. We were anxious to sell our property quickly to avoid needing to take out bridging finance for another property. Darren and his team understood our situation and using their experience and intimate knowledge of the local market they devised a sales strategy and presentation tips to maximise our chances of a timely sale without compromising on the sale price. The strategy worked perfectly with numerous offers received after only about 4 days of the property being listed for sale. With the help of Darren’s negotiating skills the final price was at the top-end of our price range expectations. Needless to say we were delighted by the result. To start with, I did not own 18/2 Mowatt Street, it was 18/X Mowatt Street. The unit was never changed over to my name, I was the Executor of the Estate, after the original owner passed away, even though all the paperwork was personally handed into the Agency. I regularly requested that the name be changed and that all emails be addressed to me and not to original owner. It was very upsetting to constantly get emails addressed to original owner, a very dear friend of both my husband and myself, The fees in my opinion were way too high, as another property that XX owned was sold by a different agency and their fees were much smaller. The other property was not a unit but a 3 bedroom house. I had requested that the agent ask the tenant if they were interested in buying the unit and was informed that they were not interested, but a few days after it went on the market, surprise, surprise the tenant was the only one interested in purchasing the unit. I could make other comments but I feel that I have said enough about this agency as it is.
