Our mother was admitted to aged care and, sadly, we decided to sell her home in Helensvale. Mark and Cathy were our first choice as my sister and I had both lived in Helensvale for over 20 years, and we had seen many For Sale signs around with" Mark Worthington" on them we thought "hey, this guy must know the area very well". Turned out we were absolutely correct! Rang LJ Hooker and Mark was out that afternoon to have a chat about our needs, wants, expectations and value of the property. After a while my sister and I looked at each other and a silent "yep, that's our guy" look passed between us.... we had found our real estate agent!. No ifs or buts, Mark was our guy and his explanation of procedures and his sure, professional friendly way made us feel very safe in our decision, plus most of all, Mark knows the area soooo well after selling homes for over 20 years here. He organised everything for us, advised on procedures, gave us tips on getting the house ready for sale and explained the different types of marketing available. We went with the top line marketing (no pushing by Mark) because we wanted the house sold soon. And what a package it was! Slick beautiful brochures, aerial shots, wonderful online pics, we couldn't have been more delighted. More delight soon followed! Our house was sold for the asking price! - IN FOUR DAYS!!! Presentation, professionalism and position everything they say but without Mark and and Cathy we don't think we would have gotten such a good result. No concerns with being kept up to date either, Mark had to go away for a few days and we were able to contact him during that time....any time ... even when he got bitten by a stone fish and was waiting for treatment in hospital he was available for our building inspector to speak to him! Amazing stuff indeed!

I had one conversation with Mark on the phone to determine if he was right for the job. He was very measured, practical and realistic about the best way to list our property and prepare it for sale. He helped find the right tradespeople to give the property a lift and the advertising package was reasonable for the price we expected to achieve. Mark did everything he said he would, when he said he would. He communicated frequently and while the property was vacant, would call around to check nothing had happened to the property between sale and settlement. I highly recommend Mark.
