Lush was in a difficult position of dealing with a vendor who had very specific ideas about the process (e.g. no pre-auction offers) and the expected price ($65,000 above the outcome of the auction). He successfully brokered a deal. However, I felt that it was unacceptable to invite the 2nd last bidder to re-bid after 30 minutes had been spent agreeing a price between the final bidder and the vendor.
