Patrick reviewed the building inspector’s report and council records and came to the conclusion that there was no easement on the garage that it did not meet because it had an occupancy certificate. The solicitor checked and he proved to be correct. This helped us get a little better price than otherwise in a buyer’s market. We also managed to achieve a relatively quick sale. Patrick tried to provide the best possible service for both the buyer and the seller helping to meet the needs of both parties. Patrick organised and conducted advertising open houses and closed the sale by find answers for issues raised by prospective buyers. We had particular needs with one person having to stay in Canberra and teach while the other person moved to our new house in Queensland. Patrick made buyers aware that we wanted an extended settlement period of 90 days so that these objectives could be achieved. It has been difficult but it looks as though it is going to work.
